We recommend Medellín

Bandeja Paisa

A strong candidate to be Colombia's national plate as it has representations of all the different cultures that influenced the country. The list of indigents is curious, but nothing like tasting it: red beans cooked with pork, white rice, ground meat, pork rind, fried eggs, plantain (patacones), sausage with lemon, arepa, hogao sauce, black pudding, and avocado.

Sabaneta´s Fondas

In Sabaneta, about 30 minutes from Medellin, there are still places that retain their ancient "antioqueño" architecture. Nowadays, they became "rumbeaderos" where you can dance and enjoy the best food of Medellin. We recommend you La Tienda Del Tocayo, which has one of most traditional atmospheres.

Hacienda Napoles

It belonged to Pablo Escobar, one of the most feared leaders of the Medellín drug cartel during the 80's. Until Escobar died in 1993, Hacienda Napoles was his headquarters, where he collected exotic wild animals. It is still possible to see the remains of his villa and his antique car collection.

Lleras Park

This is the place to see and be seen in an evening in Medellín. Located in the upscale Poblado area of the Zona Rosa in Medellín, it is filled with restaurants, clubs, discos, boutiques, salons, specialty stores, street vendors, coffee shops, casinos, frequent live bands, fashion shows, outdoor movies, and much more.
