The National Natural Park "Los Nevados" is located 52km from Manizales. The snow-capped mountain "Nevado del Ruiz" can be seen from the city.

Leave early-morning for the Park. Pass through coffee plantations; there will be various breaks to assure acclimatization to altitude. The first stop will be for breakfast.

The second point is reached by car; from there the trail is done on foot to base.

The hike continues to 5100masl ending at the base of the snow-peak and taking a snow-walk. The paramo is surrounded by beautiful landscape, the climate is rugged and sometimes Andean Condors are visible.

From the "Nevado", hike-down for 1.5hrs to thermal-springs to soothe aching limbs in natural curative waters.

Begin the tour with a Shuttle (in a 4x4 unit) to the National Park Los Nevados. On the way, several stops: Black lagoon where it is possible to appreciate the beautiful scenery and enjoy a cup of coca tea (first conditioning stop). Then transfer to the shelter number one where an introduction to the park it is made by a specialist guide. After, stops at: Aguacerales, El Valle Lunar, Las Piedras Rosadas and El Chalet, then La Olleta, spot where is possible to see the Nevado del Ruiz and the Nevado Santa Isabel. Second conditioning stop at the Cisne Hotel. Transfer to the road leading the green lagoon -two hours walk-. On the way back, snack (sandwich, chips, soda, fruit). At the established hour, back to the road. Finally, visit shelter number two and transfer to Termales el Otoño to enjoy the hot springs and typical refreshment: Agua de Panela (brown sugar drink) and cheese. Transfer to the place of origin.
